Books at Park Place

Program:

Our June event will take place at Books at Park Place, on June 20th 1:00-4:00pm.

Books at Park Place is one of my favorite spots in all of St. Petersburg, and I cannot wait to share it with you. There are plenty of restaurants in the immediate area and a little coffee shop next door. It is a 4 hour event from 1-4, I figured around 2pm we will decide what we would like to do.

When we have decided I will share the location via email incase anyone needs to show up late.

These are the details of the event that were shared on Facebook by the host:

Books at Park Place is please to announce that we will be hosting the launch of "Eerie Florida" author Mark Muncy's latest book "Eerie Appalachia" on Monday, June 20th from 1pm-4pm. The author and illustrator, Kari Schultz, will be on hand to tell some spooky stories and to sign copies. Call ahead to reserve a copy!

About the book: "Eerie Appalachia"

Folk deep within Appalachian hollers lean close to share stories of the inexplicable with hushed awe. Monsters rumbling in the hills. Strange lights darting through the pitch-black night sky. Horrible occurrences, almost ineffable in their bizarre tragedy. “Tall tales,” you might say. But tell that to the Flatwoods Monster in Braxton County, West Virginia. Or the Goat Man of Louisville—look into his humanoid eyes and let him know that you don’t believe. And what of those apparitions at Mammoth Cave’s Corpse Rock or the Satan-spawn known as the Jersey Devil? How do you respond when those mysteries confront? From metaphysical energy that swirls near the Serpent Mound in Ohio to Point Pleasant’s Mothman legacy, Mark Muncy and Kari Schultz explore the dark history lurking in the shadows of Appalachia.
