The Art Institute of Tampa is a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design.

PROGRAM:   

Digital Humanities: An exploration of research and teaching at the intersections of humanities and technology.

Our speaker is Theresa Burress. She is the Humanities Librarian at Cook Library, serving the academic communities of New College of Florida (NCF) and USF Sarasota-Manatee. She provides research, instruction, and digital humanities services to faculty and students, incorporating digital pedagogy and tools. Burress co-authored a 2016 book chapter titled “Metaliteracy in the Digital Landscape: Using Wikipedia for Research and Writing Across the Curriculum,” and was recognized by Library Journal as a 2017 Mover & Shaker for her community-building initiatives with the Florida Digital Humanities Consortium and the St. Petersburg Science Festival.
