Wikipedia and Librarians: Saving the World One Edit at a Time
Our speakers will be Katherine Ahnberg (USF Tampa), Andrew Beman-Cavallaro (Pasco-Hernando State College), Robert Fernandez (St. Leo University), and James E. Scholz (USF School of Information). They will present the current needs and opportunities for Wikipedia and librarian collaborations.

Wikipedia can be a powerful tool for digital literacy, collection awareness, community building, and much more. Come and hear what is going on now with Wikipedia, and learn how you can contribute.

5:30pm: Optional tour of USF Tampa Library by Assistant Director of Digital Learning Initiatives, Barbara Lewis.
6:00-8:00pm: Meal, Business Meeting, and Program

4202 E Fowler Ave, Tampa, FL 33620

Due to the RSVP response, we have decided to relocate the meeting to a larger room, still *within the library*. Instead of room 125D, the meeting will be held on the second floor in LIB 209. Those who will be joining for the 5:30pm tour will still meet in the first floor main lobby.

*Note: USF does charge for parking, and visitors must park in designated visitor  sections. Information about visitor parking can be found here: Daily passes are $5.00, and can be purchased online up to 14 days in advance. A map of USF Parking can be found here. If you would like to purchase a permit on campus, Daily scratch-off permits can be purchased from the main Parking Services Building (PSB) located on USF Plum and USF West Holly Drive or the Campus Information Center (CIC), located on USF Leroy Collins Boulevard (See map). There are also paid spaces to the North and South of the library, as well as other places. You can pay at the machines that accept Visa, MasterCard, or Discover and are located throughout campus, or you can pay by Parkmobile via your smartphone. If this is your first time to USF, there is also a courtesy day permit that gives access to the "Y" lot.

The food is optional. If you RSVP and order a meal, please consider it an obligation to pay even if you cannot make the meeting, since we must turn in the headcount for the meals in advance. The cost will be $10/members, $5/students.

Please RSVP on-line and indicate if you will be ordering a meal by Thursday, February 11, 2016. For questions regarding the program or to delete your RSVP, contact
Jenny Tolbert <>.

$10.00, payable by check or cash at the meeting.
